Seashore Visit

On the 15th of May Marine Biologist, Dr. Bill Crowe visited our school for a Seashore Study. In the morning we learned about many different interesting plants and animals that live on the seashore like Barnacles, Starfish, Sponges, Anemones, Brain Coral, Jellyfish, Oysters, Spider Plant, Rabbit Fish, Deep Sea Cucumber, Leather Neck Turtle, Sea Urchin and more. We even got to hold a whale’s skull!! In the afternoon we went to the seashore to study the plant and animal life there and brought some samples back to the classroom to study them some more. We used the microscope for the very tiny ones.  We had a wonderful day. It was great learning experience.
